| | B | laze Pro Light Magnifier | | | | | | | |
 | Opinion | This has got to be the worst waste of money I have ever spent. The idea is great, and the light/magnify function works very well - but it's so poorly manufacturered that the joints between the upright and the bit that attaches onto the NGPC are extremely loose. The only way it can be used is on a perfectly flat horizontal surface. Which sucks... If you're in the habit of straining your neck over a table (the magnifier has to be viewed straight on) then go ahead and buy one. As for me, I'll maybe think about gluing it so it's solid :) It's a shame, as this could be a genuinely useful device - if only it wasn't so badly made. | | Links | | http://www.blaze.de/ http://www.superufo.com/ http://www.blaze-gear.com/ |

The
NGP version of Nyko's Game Boy Wormlight.
Which, unfortunately, is pretty useless. The NGP does
not give out enough power through the link port to power
a light with any sort of reasonable brightness.
As
is demonstrated by these pics! Admittedly, the quality
is a bit poor (it's a webcam!), but its pretty obvious
how dim the light is.

| N | eoGeo Pocket Link Cable (NEOP-TCU) | | | | | | | |
 | Opinion | It's a link cable. It links 2 NeoGeo Pocket's or Pocket Color's (or any other combination) together for versus battles and trading, amongst other things. Very cool if you know someone else with an NGP or NGPC, a bit useless if you don't. Since most games feature some sort of link option, it's a good investment if you have a use for it. | | Links | | http://www2.neogeo.co.jp/ |

For
plugging your unit into the mains. Comes in 2 parts
- a standard power lead (in this case its a UK lead),
and the adapter box that goes between this cable and
the NGP. I'd guess that the power leads are interchangable
so picking up a foreign adapter shouldn't pose any risk.

Pocket Linker and Pocket Flash |

The
only mass produced "development" tools for
the NGP and NGPC. Made by Bung, of Doctor V64, and GB
X-Changer fame, these are of high quality, even if the
software provided is completely awful. These units allow
you to backup cartridges to ROM files on a PC, and copy
the ROMs onto a flash cartridge to play back on an NGP.
There
have been a number of Public Domain ROMs produced, and
short of an emulator, the Pocket Linker & Flash
are the only way you'll be able to experience these
games/demos as they should be. Some translation projects
are also underway, again these units are the only way
of playing the translated games "properly"
:)
